Overview
Automatically synchronize entities, ownership, and valuation information from Addepar to ORCA. ORCA uses this data to generate dynamic structure charts. You can enhance these charts with legal, tax, and compliance data and share them securely with any stakeholder.
Fundamentals
Integration per vault
You can establish an integration for each vault. By creating a user in Addepar with limited rights, such as access to only one client structure, you can synchronize this client with one vault in ORCA. This approach offers the advantage of granting permissions on a vault-by-vault basis in ORCA.
How to set up the integration
- Here you will find step-by-step instructions.
Core functionalities
Access Historical Information
With ORCA, you can access all historical data imported from Addepar. This allows you to review ownership structures and valuations at any time, whether in the past or present.
Store Additional Information
ORCA is designed to capture tax, legal, compliance, wealth planning, and succession data. You can upload supporting files for transactions imported from Addepar, such as purchase agreements, and add governance, executive, and legal relationships to structure charts. This includes board members, powers-of-attorney, family relationships, and more. Non-reported assets not contained within Addepar (e.g., artwork, automobiles) can also be added, along with tracking tax filings, tax IDs, insurance policies, and future scenarios of structures.
Data Synchronization
Please note that changes made in ORCA will not sync back to Addepar. ORCA does not send any data to Addepar and prohibits any modifications to the data received from Addepar. Addepar remains your single source of truth for transactions. Additional data added in ORCA will only be available within ORCA.
Control Over Data Flow
You decide what data from Addepar flows into ORCA. By creating a dedicated integration user in Addepar and granting it read-only access, you can control the subset of data that ORCA can access. ORCA then pulls ALL ownership and valuation information from this subset.
Data Limitations
While ORCA pulls a wide range of data from Addepar, it is not designed to display "security level" information such as individual stocks and bonds. The focus is on pulling information from the beneficial owner to the trusts, legal entities, private equity funds, real-estate investments, bank accounts, etc. However, ORCA does not reveal the exact contents of bank accounts. Below is a comprehensive list of the entities that are synced.
