Summary
The Structure chart serves as an efficient tool to visualize, edit, and augment the detailed information on your wealth and legal networks. With this tool, you can:
- Create diagrams with a natural person at the top of the Structure.
- Add entities to the Structure.
- Amend ownership connections.
- Update non-ownership-related information.
Your first structure in ORCA
- Starting Point: Each Structure diagram begins with a point of origin, which can be a natural Person, Legal Person, or Investment.
- Adding Entities: To add entities, follow these steps:
- Hover over any card.
- Click the button with three dots.
- Click on the blue Add button.
- Sentence Builder: This feature is made up of a protagonist on the left, a range of verbs in the middle, and an antagonist on the right.
- Editing: Everything in ORCA is clickable and immediately editable. To make changes:
- To amend ownership connections, click on the line that connects the two objects you want to amend and either add, amend, or delete trades.
- To update non-ownership-related information, click on the name of the entity in the Structure chart and select details.
Step-by-step instructions
- Click the “Add” button in the lower section of the left Side Panel or on any card within the Structure
- Enter the name of the natural person or legal entity.
- Once saved, the item will appear on the Structure
- Hover over the name and click on the three dots, after that click on the blue “Add” button.
- In the sentence builder, complete the sentence to add an entity to the Structure.
- By creating a new Legal Entity or Asset, you can select the appropriate Asset class and optionally the location.
- Each verb has an embedded logic. Since we used the vern “own” additional fields appear that allow you to specify the ownership connection
Under amount specify how the company is held. Either %, a specific number of shares or even create multiple share classes (such as preferred shares, non-voting shares, etc)
- Repeat steps 3-4 for any additional entities you want to add to the Structure.
- To amend ownership connections, click on the line that connects the two objects you want to amend and either add, amend, or delete events.
- To update non-ownership-related information, click on the name of the entity in the Structure chart and work in the Detail View.
- In the Detail panel, change the name or country of the entity as needed.
