How to save an Excel file in the right format

Step 1: Save Your Excel File in CSV Format To initiate the process, you need to convert your Excel file into a Comma-Separated Values (.csv) format. Here's how:

Click on "File": Open your Excel file, and locate the "File" tab in the top-left corner of your screen.

Click on "Save as": Select "Save as" from the dropdown menu.

Choose the option "Comma-separated Values (.csv)": In the "Save as type" field, choose "Comma Separated Values (.csv)" from the list of options.

Save the File: Choose a location on your computer to save the file and give it a meaningful name. Click "Save."

Step 2: Import Data via CSV in ORCA Now that you have your Excel file saved in CSV format, it's time to import it into ORCA. Here's how:

Log into ORCA: Access your ORCA account and log in.

Click on "Import Data via CSV": In the ORCA interface

Important Note: CSV Separator Settings

It's essential to use the correct separator in your CSV file for successful data import. By default, ORCA uses a comma (,) as the separator. If your system is configured differently, follow these steps to ensure the correct settings:

For Windows Users:

Open Control Panel: Click the Windows Start Menu, and select "Control Panel."

Access Regional and Language Options: In the Control Panel, find "Regional and Language Options" and click on it.

Select Regional Options Tab: Within the Regional and Language Options dialog box, navigate to the "Regional Options" tab.

Adjust List Separator: Locate the "List separator" box and change it to a comma (,).

Confirm Changes: Click "OK" twice to confirm the changes.

For Mac Users:

Access Language & Region Settings: Use Spotlight Search to find "Language & Region" and select it.

Advanced Settings: Click on "Advanced" within the Language & Region settings.

Configure Number Separators: Ensure that the number separators for grouping are set to a comma (,).
