How to change the Email

Overview

Account owners and admins now can change the email addresses of account owners, administrators, and users in ORCA. Users will receive a one-time code for confirming their new email, but they can choose to delay this confirmation if required.

💡
To change a user's email address, you must be an account owner or an administrator.

Guide

Initiate the email change

  1. Open the settings panel located on the bottom left side.
  1. Select "Account Administration."
  1. Navigate to "Users."
  1. Click on the desired user.
  1. Click on "User Detail" and update the email.

Confirm the new email

You will receive a one-time password at your new email address. Use your previous credentials (old email and secret key) to log in to ORCA.

Enter the one-time password when prompted in the pop-up box.

Note: Until the email change is confirmed, the old email address will remain valid.
 

Log in using your previous credentials.

After entering the code, you will be logged out of ORCA. Alternatively, you may skip this step and confirm the email change at a later stage.

How to use the new email

Sign back into ORCA using your newly updated email and the existing Secret Key.

What if the new email belongs to a different person?

Since the Secret Key is not affected by an email change, we strongly recommend generating a new Secret Key if the account is transferred to a different person (for example, if the account owner changes).
