Overview
Account owners and admins now can change the email addresses of account owners, administrators, and users in ORCA. Users will receive a one-time code for confirming their new email, but they can choose to delay this confirmation if required.
Guide
Initiate the email change
- Open the settings panel located on the bottom left side.
- Select "Account Administration."
- Navigate to "Users."
- Click on the desired user.
- Click on "User Detail" and update the email.
Confirm the new email
You will receive a one-time password at your new email address. Use your previous credentials (old email and secret key) to log in to ORCA.
Enter the one-time password when prompted in the pop-up box.
Log in using your previous credentials.
After entering the code, you will be logged out of ORCA. Alternatively, you may skip this step and confirm the email change at a later stage.
How to use the new email
Sign back into ORCA using your newly updated email and the existing Secret Key.
What if the new email belongs to a different person?
Since the Secret Key is not affected by an email change, we strongly recommend generating a new Secret Key if the account is transferred to a different person (for example, if the account owner changes).
