Overview
Instead of exporting the structure as a PDF or CSV, you can share it as a link. This link lets anyone outside of ORCA view a predefined structure chart. Key features of the share link include:
- Creating a dynamic structure link that can be opened in a browser
- Selecting the amount of information to share by deselecting or hiding certain assets
- Blending in additional information for individual cards or on all cards
- Allowing viewers to jump straight from a card to the details of that entity in ORCA
Note: A static link shows a snapshot of the structure from the moment you share it. If you change the structure afterwards, create a new link or use a live link instead.

How to create a new link to a structure?
- Decide how much information you want to share:
- Use the filters at the top to select specific asset classes, locations, or labels.
- Use "Show on card" to display additional information, such as values or tax IDs, on individual cards or on all cards.
- Click the share icon in the top right corner.
- Optionally, set a password.
- Choose the link expiration.
- Choose a live or static link. With a live link, recipients always see the latest version of the data, updated in real time. With a static link, recipients see a snapshot of the structure as it was when you shared it.
- As an option, you may tick Open in ORCA links. This adds an Open in ORCA button to each card, and is turned off by default.
Note: If you don’t password-protect the link, anyone who receives it can access your shared structure.
How does it look for someone outside of ORCA?
The shared structure is entirely dynamic. Recipients can switch their perspective to any person or legal entity included in the shared structure.
How to open card details in ORCA from a shared link
If you ticked Open in ORCA links when you created the link, viewers see an Open in ORCA button when they hover over a card. Clicking it opens the Details View of that person, legal entity or asset in a new tab.
Your ORCA permissions will still apply:
- Logged-in viewers with ORCA access go straight to the details.
- Logged-out viewers are asked to log in first.
- Viewers without ORCA access can’t see the details.
Note: Open in ORCA links are off by default and can only be turned on when you create a link. For a link you’ve already shared, create a new link with the option ticked.
How to manage shared links
When you create a shared link, you choose how long it stays active: the standard 30-day expiry, or Never Expires. The expiration type is shown for each link in your Shared Links list.
To manually adjust a link, open the settings menu and select one of the following actions:
- Inactivate: Immediately removes access to the link. Never-expiring links can be inactivated at any time.
- Activate: Restores access to a previously inactivated link
- Prolong: Extends the validity of the link by 30 days from today's date.
