Overview:
In ORCA, ownership tracking can be executed through various methods. Measurement options include Net Asset Value (NAV) or absolute value. Percentage (%) tracking is also available. Additionally, Share classes allow for detailing the total number of shares and the owners' share amounts.
There is no right or wrong method. It is up to you how you want to track ownership. What is great about ORCA is that you cannot break anything. You can always edit and delete.
Ownership using the amount of Net Asset Value (NAV) or absolute value
You can track and manage your investments based on their nominal or valuation amounts.
- Select “value” to create a nominal/valuation-based ownership: When creating ownership between two entities, you can now select the "value" option to establish an investment based on its nominal or valuation amount.
- Change the NAV valuation for your initial investment: You can now modify the Net Asset Value (NAV) valuation for your initial investment. This feature allows you to update the value of your investment over time.
