Holistic Balance Sheet: Net Wealth & Asset Allocation

Overview

ORCA’s Holistic Balance Sheet provides a high-level overview of all assets and liabilities in one place. Instead of manually tracking data across different spreadsheets or accounts, this tool consolidates everything into a single, real-time dashboard.

The most important feature of this view is that it is perspective-driven. All values and percentages update automatically based on which entity, company, or individual you choose as your "starting point."

How it works

  • Dynamic Perspective: If you view the structure from the "Top-Level Entity," you see the total value of the entire group. If you switch your view to a specific "Sub-Entity" or "Shareholder," the numbers instantly recalculate to show only that specific entity's proportional share.
  • Traceable Math: ORCA traces every ownership link (direct and indirect) through the entire chain to find your true "slice of the pie."

A Simple Example:

  • You own 60% of "Company A."
  • "Company A" owns 50% of "Entity B."
  • ORCA will show that your Effective Ownership of "Entity B" is 30% (60% of 50%).

Key Insights

  • The Full Picture: View the current market value of assets, any associated debts, and the final Net Wealth (Equity).
  • Liability Integration: See how loans, mortgages, or other commitments impact the overall balance sheet.
  • Flexible Sorting: Organize your data with one click to see:
    • Geography: Which countries your assets are located in.
    • Currency: Your exposure to different currencies (e.g., USD, EUR, CHF).
    • Asset Class: A breakdown by type (e.g., Real Estate, Private Equity, Cash).

Tracking Liabilities (Debts)

  1. Activate Filters: Use the "Filters" menu at the top of the screen to toggle Liabilities on.
  1. See the Impact: Your debts are automatically subtracted from asset values to show the Net Wealth for your selected perspective.
  1. Liability Details: Any debt held directly by your chosen entity will appear in a list at the bottom. Click an item to view specific loan terms and details.
