How to Enable Sonar
Activating the feature only takes a moment. Follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Settings: Open the User Menu and select Account Administration.
- Locate AI Features: Click on Account Settings, then find the AI features tab.
- Activate: Toggle Sonar to "On" and review/accept the Terms & Conditions.
Uploading Your First File
Once enabled, you will see the Upload with Sonar button (with a purple AI badge) at the bottom of the left navigation panel, directly above the + Add button.
- Click Upload with Sonar to select and upload one or multiple files for extraction.
- Alternatively, upload files directly from an Entity's Details View by selecting the option to process them with Sonar upon upload.
Tracking Upload & Processing Progress
- A compact upload panel appears in the bottom-right corner, displaying live progress as files upload and extract. You can continue navigating around ORCA while processing finishes.
- Uploaded files are categorized into review groups: Errors, Duplicates Detected, Ready for Review, No Data Found, and Data Saved to Vault.
Reviewing Extracted Data & Verifying Documents
- Find in Document: Hover over any extracted Event and click Find in document to instantly highlight the source passage in the document preview (new events highlight in purple, matches to existing vault data in grey).
- Aliases & Former Names: Sonar recognizes historical names and defined aliases (such as initials or "d/b/a"), matching them to your existing entities to prevent duplicate records.
- Duplicate File Resolution: If an uploaded file already exists in your Vault, Sonar flags it so you can resolve it on the spot.
Not seeing "AI Features"?
Sonar can only be activated by Admin users. Reach out to your account Admin to enable it for your account.
